Gazetteer of Australia 2012

The Gazetteer provides information on the location and spelling of more than 370,000 geographical names across Australia as at January 2012. The supply of data is coordinated by the Intergovernmental Committee on Surveying and Mapping and derived from State, Territory and Australian Government agencies. Copyright of the Gazetteer data resides with the relevant state, territory and Australian Government agencies which are custodians of the data. The Gazetteer fields include: - Record ID - unique feature identifier for each feature. - Authority ID - custodian state or territory.

TAS Airborne Imagery

Customers seeking aerial photographs are invited to locate the area they are interested in by identifying it on the relevant 1:25,000 or 1:100,000 Tasmap or use the internet based map viewer for the Land Information System Tasmania (LIST) called LISTmap. Photographs can be forwarded by post to any Service Tasmania outlet for collection or to an address nominated by the client.

ACT Airborne Imagery

The Planning and Land Authority produces, updates and maintains many types of land information, from the smallest detail of a kerb and gutter in an engineering survey drawing to the extent of the ACT border. Aerial photographs are available from the plan room at the Dickson Customer Service Centre.

NSW Airborne Imagery

DFSI Spatial Services, on behalf of the Surveyor General, creates and maintains a spatial representation of the State and acts as a 'single source of truth' for foundation spatial information and survey infrastructure and services in NSW.

NT Airborne Imagery

Monitoring active and/or recent fires, floods, storms, and subsidence
•Estimating biomass for carbon accounting, native vegetation mapping, and agriculture;
•Managing conservation areas (land and marine), environmental resources, estuaries and coastal w

PSMA Transport and TopographyTM

The Transport and Topography dataset is underpinned by a road centreline layer of over 2.7 million kilometres of roads, together with more than 30 feature types within transport, hydrology and green space themes. Roads - a national coverage of network roads at all levels within Australia. Everything from major highways to outback tracks, new roads and changes to current roads. Airports - all aspects of airport infrastructure within Australia, including all airports from international to local landing strips.

Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems (GDE)

The National Atlas of Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems presents the current knowledge of groundwater dependent ecosystems across Australia. It displays ecological and hydrogeological information on known groundwater dependent ecosystems and ecosystems that potentially use groundwater. The Atlas is a tool to assist the consideration of ecosystem groundwater requirements in natural resource management, including water planning and environmental impact assessment.

SRTM-derived 1 Second Digital Elevation Model

The 1 second Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) Digital Elevation Models Version 1.0 package comprises three surface models: the Digital Elevation Model (DEM), the Smoothed Digital Elevation Model (DEM-S) and the Hydrologically Enforced Digital Elevation Model (DEM-H). The DEMs were derived from the SRTM data acquired by NASA in February 2000 and were publicly released under Creative Commons licensing from November 2011 in ESRI Grid format. DEM represents ground surface topography, with vegetation features removed using an automatic process supported by several vegetation maps.
