Surface Hydrology Lines (Regional)

The Surface Hydrology Lines (Regional) dataset provides a set of related features classes to be used as the basis of the production of consistent hydrological information. This dataset contains a geometric representation of major hydrographic line elements - both natural and artificial. This dataset is the best available data supplied by Jurisdictions and aggregated by Geoscience Australia. It is intended for defining hydrological features with attributes.

National Vegetation Information System

A range of NVIS data products are available for use on different scales. Highly detailed data is received from state and territory custodians with standard NVIS attributes, and compiled into the NVIS database. The resultant datasets are suited for use at a regional scale. Where there is agreement with the custodian, these have been made publicly available in the latest release of the NVIS.

National Surface Hydrology - 250K

The Surface Hydrology Lines (National) dataset presents the spatial locations of surface hydrology line features and its attributes. The dataset represents the Australia's surface hydrology at a national scale. It includes natural and man-made geographic features such as: watercourses, canals, pipelines, etc. This product presents line hydrology features with full topological connectivity and flow paths for the entire continental of Australia.

National Baseline

The term Territorial Sea Baseline (TSB) refers to the line from which the seaward limits of Australia's Maritime Zones are measured. These include the breadth of the territorial sea; the seaward limits of the contiguous zone, the exclusive economic zone and, in some cases, the continental shelf.

GDE Atlas

The National Atlas of Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems presents the current knowledge of groundwater dependent ecosystems across Australia. It displays ecological and hydrogeological information on known groundwater dependent ecosystems and ecosystems that potentially use groundwater. The Atlas is a tool to assist the consideration of ecosystem groundwater requirements in natural resource management, including water planning and environmental impact assessment.
