Australian Hydrographic Service Bathymetry
The Australian Hydrographic Service Bathymetry is a collection of over 20,000 hydrographic survey datasets. The data is collected with a range of sensors and supplied by RAN, government jurisdictions, commercial organisation and members of the public. The collection spans a time period from 1770 to present and is stored as it is received in its original format.
This data supports the Australia Charting Area with a focus on near shore areas and those important to maritime navigation, including Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Timor-Leste and Antarctica Territory.
Bathymetric data supports Australia’s maritime trade, Defence and the environment including navigation products and services.
