They are relied upon and trusted by Australian and international commercial vessels, recreational The Australian Hydrographic Service (AHS) publishes and updates approximately 450 official paper nautical charts providing coverage of the Australia Charting Area. The AHS releases its paper chart coverage under the 'Aus' series. It includes Australian, Papua New Guinea, Timor Leste and Australian Antarctic Territory waters. The Aus series is also partially reproduced by the UK Hydrographic Office in their world-wide Admiralty chart series. AHS charts within the Admiralty chart series are easily identified by their 'Aus' chart numbers.vessels and the Royal Australian Navy.
