Datasets

WA Hydro Point

The Surface Hydrology dataset provides a set of related feature classes to be used as the basis of the production of consistent hydrological information. This dataset contains a geometric representation of the (major) surface water features of Australia.

NSW Runway Dataset

Runway represents the straight paths used for landing and take-off of aircraft. A runway can be a landing ground, runway centreline and runway perimeter. The surface of the runway may be sealed, gravel, grassed, clay, and natural. This information is stored in runway definitions and runway surface attributes respectively. Runway is a line feature class of the NSW Digital Topographic Database ( DTDB ), within the Transportation theme.

NSW Spot Heights Dataset

Spot Height represents individual points on the earth’s surface, the elevation of which has been related to a datum by ground or photogrammetric survey. Spot height is a point feature class of the NSW Digital Topographic Database ( DTDB), within the Physiography theme. It consists of standard spot height, depression spot height. As per the dataset, the elevation range is from 0 to 2160m. Vertical accuracy for each feature instance is reported within the range of 0 to 5m.

Survey Control Information Management System

Control Survey Mark references are recorded within the Survey Control Information Management System (SCIMS). This is a database that contains all of the coordinates, heights and related information for NSW survey marks that form the official State Survey Control Network. The network is represented physically by over 240,000 permanent ground marks including over 6,300 beaconed trigonometrical stations positioned at varying spacings across NSW. Each survey mark is assigned a horizontal and vertical spatial position and a class/order, according to accuracy.

NSW Town Orthorectified Aerial Imagery

This imagery data series is a collection of mosaics covering NSW’s towns or cities in NSW. It was created by ortho-rectifying, colour matching and joining overlapping image strips captured with multiple flight lines over the project area using a Leica ADS40 or ADS80 airborne digital sensor. This imagery can be obtained as a true colour RGB or BGRN image using the Red, Green, Blue or Near Infra Red bands. Depending on coverage variables, this product has a ground sampling distance (GSD) of either 10cm or 20cm.

ACT Water Polygon

The ACT Water Polygons dataset contains polygon information representing an area of land that is or may be covered in water, either intermittently or constantly, temporarily or permanently. The ACT Water Polygons dataset contains polyline information representing an area of land that is or may be covered in water, either intermittently or constantly, temporarily or permanently. The Water Features dataset was digitised in 1995 from 1:10,000 Plan Series, 1:2,500 Cadastre, 1:2,500 Detail, 1:1,000 Detail and traced from Topobase.

ALOS

These data sets have a spatial resolution of between 2.5-10 m and provide national coverage every quarter. They are primarily operated by Jurisdictions and/or commercial enterprises.

There are an increasing number of these sensors available for both sate
